We want to see what you have kept going.

Sewn it. Welded It. Glued it. Taped it. Had someone else fix it. Made it beautiful. Made it weird. Just made it work.

If you repaired something instead of giving up on it, show us.

Your fix could get you a fix.

Each month, the first five people to join The Fix and submit a repair will receive one of our vintage mend kits - while they last.

Then we'll choose one Fix of the Month to receive a Surplus repair on us.

We're not looking for the fanciest repair or the best stitching. We like ingenuity, sentiment, resourcefulness, beautiful mistakes and things that simply refused to die.

How It Works

1. Join The Fix. Sign up for our monthly email about repair, reuse and things worth keeping.

2. Show us your fix. Send a photo and a sentence or two about what happened, how it was fixed and why you kept it.

3. Keep things going. The first five qualifying submissions each month get a vintage mend kit while supplies last. One favorite becomes our Fix of the Month and gets a Surplus repair on us.

About the Mend Kits

We have 60 vintage mend kits, and we'd rather put them to work than keep them on a shelf. Five go out each month to the first five people who show us something they chose to repair.

When they're gone, they're gone. Hopefully by then they've helped another 60 things stick around a little longer.

Fix of the Month

Once a month, we'll choose a favorite submission for a repair on us. It might be beautiful. It might be clever. It might have a great story. It might make us laugh.

There is no perfect fix. That's kind of the point.
