Mid Winter

Resilience: A practice in the long pause.
If we look to nature as our guide, most of the action in winter is beneath the surface, in the dark, without spectacle or notice. This is how roots are strengthened and soils are built.
We try to remember that this time of year is great for ensuring our own roots and soil are deep and nourished: good food, friends, and music are a must. And of course, a worthy obsession makes the time fly when things are quiet and still.
As manufacturers, when we think of resilience, we think of bombproof materials that are designed to last. Ultimately, quality materials are the first step in keeping good things in motion. With that, for us, resilience takes the shape of durability...our numero uno.
Materials that last share a few things in common, features like repairable by design and improving with age. Failure is only defined by the inability to be repaired.
Learn what makes textiles bombproof and how we approach our material's list.

And because natural things age well, there is wisdom there. Surplus materials come with a bit of history that we love to showcase. But, it did take a hot minute, a change in plans and a bit of inspiration from nature's natural practices, for us to figure out a few ways to adapt to the reality of materials with a past.
